Human Sculpture

When creating a sculpture of a human, it's important to have a solid understanding of the internal anatomy to ensure the result looks realistic. I began by sketching the internal structure to get a sense of how it appears beneath the skin, this is called an ecorche. This allowed me to get a better sense of the proportions and placement of muscles and bones. Once I had a good understanding of the internal anatomy, I used a pre-made wire frame to provide the sculpture with a sturdy structure. This helped to ensure that the sculpture would be stable and durable. Finally, I studied the skeleton and muscles to get a better sense of how they work together and how they appear in different positions and under different lighting conditions. By taking these steps, I was able to create a sculpture that looked lifelike and realistic, with accurate proportions.
